If you have been around for a while, you know that Iceland with a View has always been a labor of love. What began in 2014 as a small blog where I shared weekend adventures around the island has grown into a full travel planning brand with guidebooks, maps, videos, and resources used by thousands of travelers each year.
This year marks ten years of helping travelers plan their dream trips to Iceland, and it felt like the right moment for the visuals of Iceland with a View to grow with the business.
So today, I’m excited to share something that has been quietly in the works behind the scenes, a complete brand refresh for Iceland with a View.
Don’t worry, nothing about the mission or heart behind this space has changed. This update simply reflects the evolution of the community, the tools, and the experience I’ve gained over the past decade.
Why this matters now
Planning a trip to Iceland has changed a lot over the years. There is more information than ever, more opinions, more “must see” lists, and more pressure to do everything in a limited amount of time.
What I hear again and again from you is that planning can feel overwhelming, even when you’re excited. Too many tabs open, too many routes to consider, and too much uncertainty about what actually makes sense for your trip.
This next chapter of Iceland with a View is about cutting through that noise. It’s about creating tools, guides, and experiences that help you plan with clarity, confidence, and calm, so the process feels just as enjoyable as the trip itself.
Why a new look now?
Over the past 10 years, Iceland with a View has transformed in so many ways.
What started as blogging about hikes has become a full resource hub that includes:
- detailed region guides and checklists
- a digital map with over 500 curated locations
- itineraries
- planning tools
- videos
- and a community of travelers from all over the world
As the offerings expanded, so did the responsibility to make everything clear, polished, and easy to use.
I wanted a brand that better represented what Iceland with a View is today,
modern, clean, inspired by Icelandic nature, trustworthy, and rooted in real local experience.
The old teal logo served us well for a long time, but this fresh direction feels aligned with where the business is heading next.

What’s new?
A new logo and visual identity
You will start seeing updated logos, colors, and typography across the website, social channels, YouTube, emails, and eventually in every guidebook and map.
The shapes, lines, and tones are inspired by the landscapes that define Iceland, basalt columns, glacial blues, soft moss, and volcanic warmth.
A more cohesive website experience
The site has been refreshed with updated fonts, cleaner layouts, and a design that supports easier trip planning. The goal is for everything to feel intuitive, calming, and inspiring.
A simpler, more powerful planning toolkit
Alongside the visual refresh, the planning tools themselves have been streamlined and refined.
Over time, the shop had grown into multiple guides, maps, and resources that could feel overwhelming to sort through. With this new chapter, everything has been simplified into a clearer, more intuitive lineup designed to work together.
You’ll now find:
- A streamlined shop with fewer, clearer product choices
- One Ultimate Iceland Guidebook and one Ultimate Iceland Map instead of multiple overlapping options
- A new planning quiz that helps you quickly figure out which tool fits your trip
- Resources designed to work together as one connected planning system
Instead of trying to compare multiple similar products, you can now choose your main planning tools quickly and move forward with confidence.
The goal is simple: less second-guessing, fewer tabs open, and a smoother path from “I want to go to Iceland” to “I feel confident in my plan.”

Prefer a ready-made plan?
If you don’t want to build your itinerary from scratch, done-for-you itineraries are still here and haven’t changed.
These pre-planned routes are perfect if you want a thoughtfully designed day-by-day plan you can grab and go, while still having the flexibility to personalize along the way.
Planning support is still available
If you’d rather talk things through with a real human, planning services are still here, too. You can still book an Itinerary Review or a Trip Planning Consultation.
These services work beautifully alongside the new planning tools, whether you want expert eyes on your plan or help getting unstuck.
A new chapter, built together
One thing I want you to know is that this evolution isn’t happening in a vacuum. Your feedback, questions, emails, comments, and messages play a huge role in shaping what Iceland with a View becomes next.
I pay close attention to what you struggle with, what confuses you, and what helps you feel more confident when planning. That insight directly informs how I improve existing tools and create new ones. This brand has always been built with its community, and that will only continue moving forward.
What you can expect next
You may still notice small visual updates rolling out across older blog posts and resources, but the new look and simplified planning tools are now live across the shop and core guides.
This is truly just the beginning.
Thank you for being part of this journey
Whether you discovered Iceland with a View last week or have been here since the early blogging days, thank you. Your trips, your messages, your stories, and your trust are what make this work so meaningful.
My hope is that this next chapter of Iceland with a View helps you feel less overwhelmed, more confident in your choices, and genuinely excited about planning your trip. I want you to feel supported, informed, and calm as you map out your Iceland adventure, knowing you’re not missing out and you’re doing it in a way that feels right for you.
Here’s to the next chapter, and to planning Iceland trips that feel thoughtful, joyful, and unforgettable.
