What is the weather like? What are the road conditions?

This itinerary perfects the timing of each day. Research still needs to be done to understand Icelandic weather, driving rules, etc. All of this information can be found in my guidebooks.

What matters most to me is that they grow up with What matters most to me is that they grow up with this 🧡

Being outside.
Exploring new places.
Getting a little messy, a little tired, and completely curious about everything around them.

Not always needing a plan or something “to do.”

Living in Iceland makes that kind of life pretty easy.

Things move a little slower here, and there’s less focus on constantly doing or getting more.

It’s the kind of place that makes it easier to show them the best days usually come from where you go, not what you get.

And I’m really grateful for that.

Anyone else trying to raise little adventurers? 🙋🏼‍♀️

The catch?

Everyone remembers the big stuff for Iceland… But Everyone remembers the big stuff for Iceland…

But it’s the small things that catch people off guard.

Like trying to sleep when it never gets dark… or realizing you don’t have anything to dry off with after a dip in a hot spring.

Here are a few simple extras can make your spring trip way more comfortable:

👉🏼 Eye mask
👉🏼 Reusable water bottle
👉🏼 Quick-dry towel

You won’t think about them much - UNTIL you really wish you had them.

If you want to feel fully prepared (and not second-guess your suitcase the night before your trip), I’ve got you.

My free Iceland Packing Guide breaks down exactly what to bring, how to handle the unpredictable weather, and includes printable checklists so nothing gets missed.

Heads up! The puffins are BACK in Iceland 🐧 If yo Heads up! The puffins are BACK in Iceland 🐧

If you’re visiting from mid-April through summer, this is your chance to see one of the cutest highlights of the season.

These birds spend most of their lives out at sea, but return to Iceland each spring to nest along the cliffs.

Want to see them? Add these spots to your itinerary 👇🏼

📍 Dyrhólaey (South Coast, easy stop near Vík)
📍 Vestmannaeyjar (home to one of the largest colonies)
📍 Borgarfjörður Eystri (one of the best places to get close to them)

Pro tip: They spend most of their day out at sea fishing and bringing the catch back to their babies, so try to look for them early in the morning or evening when they are around their nest.

Getting to see them up close and personal is so magical!

Is seeing puffins in Iceland on your bucket list? Let me know in the comments 👇🏼
