This summer, I started spending a couple of hours This summer, I started spending a couple of hours each Sunday hiking solo.It became a ritual I looked forward to ALL week.And after spending so much of the last six years being in mom mode, it felt really good to have some time that was completely mine.There’s something about being out in the Icelandic wilderness that finally lets my brain get quiet, especially when no one’s asking me for a snack or needing help going potty. 😂And somewhere during those Sunday hikes, I started thinking about a goal I’d been putting off for almost 10 years.Hiking the Laugavegur Trail.Do I feel ready for it? Absolutely not.Is that stopping me? Apparently not, because I’m officially going with @vikingwomentours next summer.
