Plus, it's perfect for a quick adventure during a layover in Keflavík. 😍 📍 Location: Located in south-west Iceland, the Reykjanes Peninsula is about 43 miles (69 km) or an hour's drive south-west of Reykjavík on Route 41 (Reykjanesbraut). 🚙 Getting There: It's an easy drive from Reykjavík, and the main international airport is located right on the peninsula. Just remember to check road.is for any closures due to volcanic activity! 🏞 Top Attractions: Don't miss the Bridge Between Continents, Reykjanestá (the Cliffs of Reykjanes), Seltún geothermal area, and of course, the famous Blue Lagoon! 🙌 Must-Do Tours: Take a helicopter tour over the eruption site, explore inside the Thrihnukagigur volcano, go snorkeling in Kleifarvatn Lake, or combine hiking with local cuisine tastings in the Reykjanes UNESCO Global Geopark.
