Feeling overwhelmed by all the places you want to Feeling overwhelmed by all the places you want to see in Iceland? 😅

You’re not alone…there is SO much to add to the list!

Here’s my 3-step process to prioritize 👇🏼

✅ Start with your dream spots. What are those places that have been on your bucket list forever? Plan your route around these!

✅ Check if they’re actually open when you’re visiting (this is especially important if you’re visiting in winter or in shoulder-season)

✅ Time your visits to avoid the crowds (early mornings are your best friend)

✅ And don’t forget to explore BEYOND the popular attractions, too! Some of my most unforgettable Iceland moments came from spontaneous stops at quieter places.

If figuring out how to fit it all together has your head spinning…I’ve got you.

My 👉 Iceland itineraries are fully mapped out with drive times, top sights, hidden gems, and exactly how long to spend at each stop

Whether you’ve got 5 days or 2 weeks, these itineraries take the guesswork out of planning the perfect trip…so you can focus on the fun stuff! 💃

Just comment “ITINERARY” and I’ll send you the link to check them out!

But if you want to plan an itinerary that checks all the boxes ✅ be sure to ask yourself these 5 questions 👇🏼

🤔 What are your must-see stops?
🤔 How much can you realistically fit into a day?
🤔 Where should you stay (and how often should you move)?
🤔 Where will you eat, especially in remote areas?
🤔 How will you keep everything organized on the road?

These are the building blocks of your itinerary that shape your entire trip.

And they're the difference between feeling rushed and feeling like you're exactly where you're supposed to be.

Reading through all this and feeling like it’s a LOT to consider?

My Iceland Itineraries give you a clear, day-by-day plan — complete with dining spots, accommodations, and tour recs that I personally trust.

3 Reasons NOT To Go To The Blue Lagoon In Iceland 3 Reasons NOT To Go To The Blue Lagoon In Iceland 🙅‍♀️

👉 Price: The Blue Lagoon is one of Iceland’s most famous attractions, and because of this, it’s on the pricier side. If budget is a big concern, you might want to skip this!

👉 Crowds: If you hate crowds and would prefer to visit destinations where you can actually FEEL Iceland’s untouched beauty, the Blue Lagoon might not be for you.

👉 Touristy: No surprise here — the Blue Lagoon draws in thousands of tourists every year. Over time, it’s evolved into more of a high-end spa resort than a natural hot spring. With constant upgrades, added bars, cafés, and fancy packages, it’s feeling less Icelandic and more… curated.

Not to mention all the nearby volcanic activity — getting evacuated on vacation isn’t exactly ideal. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you really want to go to the Blue Lagoon, you should still do it (I do still love it!)

But there are dozens of other geothermal pools around Iceland that are just as memorable, way less crowded, and way easier on your wallet.

If you’d rather soak like the locals and explore the more authentic side of Icelandic pool culture, I’ve got you covered…

In my Iceland Guidebooks + Maps, I’ve marked all my favorite lesser-known hot springs — the ones that are rustic, scenic, and totally worth the detour.
