In winter, that means stepping off the plane into pitch black. 🌑 In January, sunrise in Reykjavík isn’t until 11am (sometimes later!). So unless your flight’s very delayed, don’t count on any dramatic glacier views from above. This might be the biggest blind spot I see when it This might be the biggest blind spot I see when it comes to Iceland trip planning… People don’t realize how DRASTICALLY different winter and summer trips are. The amount of daylight, which roads are open, what activities you can do…it all changes depending on when you visit.  👉🏼 Yet the itineraries people find online rarely account for these differences. And that’s how people end up frustrated, behind schedule, or missing out on things they didn’t even know they should’ve planned for.  My Iceland itineraries are season-specific for this exact reason. Winter itineraries are built for shorter days, icy roads, and winter-only experiences like ice caves and northern lights. It means this in Iceland too, but yellow ALSO shows up *before* green. When you’re sitting at a red light, it turns to yellow right before turning green. So instead of waiting in suspense, you get a little heads-up that it’s go-time. 🚦 It’s a small thing, but it helps you stay ready, so you’re not caught off guard when it flips to green.
