Iceland is a difficult country to move to and you need a specific reason to do so. Because of this, I can’t help with immigration stuff, sorry!

You DON’T want to do an Iceland road trip withou You DON’T want to do an Iceland road trip without the right insurance 😬 … Especially in the winter! Iceland’s wild weather and rugged terrain can catch even experienced drivers off guard. Here’s what you need to know: 👉🏼 CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is mandatory in Iceland (you CAN’T deny it) but honestly, it’s just the bare minimum 👉🏼 Gravel protection is a MUST – those tiny rocks can do serious damage 👉🏼 Sand and ash protection? It’s a good add-on if you’re near beaches and volcanic areas 👉🏼 Beware of wind-damaged doors – it’s shockingly common and often NOT covered in many insurance packages!  After years of Iceland road trips, I’ve learned the hard way that skimping on insurance isn’t worth the stress.
