Yep it’s true - Icelanders throw pufflings off o Yep it’s true - Icelanders throw pufflings off of cliffs! 😳 Every year the Atlantic Puffin makes their migration back out to sea after a season of nesting on the cliffsides around Iceland. …but baby puffins can’t resist the dazzling city lights. They end up trapped in neighborhoods, unable to fly away by themselves. That’s when the ‘Puffin Patrol’ springs into action! Icelanders come together to rescue these little wanderers by gathering them into boxes, heading to the nearest cliff, and tossing them off to rejoin their colony! This is such a heartwarming thing to experience and we had a great time being a part of this annual tradition 💚🐧
