Does Iceland’s color-coded warning system have y Does Iceland’s color-coded warning system have you scratching your head? 🤔 Here’s the deal: these warnings, issued by Vedur.is, break down the severity of storms across the country — from manageable (yellow) to outright dangerous (red). SWIPE to understand what they mean and how they’ll impact your plans. Here’s the cliff notes 👇🏼 🟡 Yellow: Manageable, but be cautious. High winds and icy roads can still disrupt your plans, especially if you’re driving a campervan. Be sure to keep a close eye on conditions! 🟠 Orange: Avoid travel unless it’s absolutely necessary (especially if you don’t have experience with winter driving!). Roads are dangerous, and storms could shut them down. 🔴 Red: Don’t even think about it! Travel is prohibited, and roads are closed. These conditions are rare but extremely serious.
