These mischievous brothers definitely keep things... interesting 😅

Over the next few days, Icelanders will be getting a visit from these guys:

👉🏼 Þvörusleikir, who never met a spoon he didn't want to lick (especially if there's cake batter involved!)

👉🏼 Askasleikir, the sneaky bowl licker who hides under beds waiting for leftovers

👉🏼 Hurðaskellir, who just can't resist slamming doors (much to his mother's annoyance)

👉🏼 Skyrgámur, our skyr-obsessed friend who loves sliding down mountains

🎄 Meet the first four of Iceland's 13 Yule Lads - our mischievous highland trolls who visit children one by one in the days before Christmas!

These quirky brothers come down from the mountains leaving small gifts (or potatoes if you're naughty 😅) in children's shoes.

First up we have:

👉🏼 Stekkjastaur with his creaky knees (you can hear him coming!)

👉🏼 Giljagaur, the shy giant who keeps our Christmas Cat in check

👉🏼 Stubby, the smallest but most charming of the bunch

👉🏼 Pottasleikir, who can't resist licking leftover soup from your pots
