I wish you had an itinerary for XYZ region or # of days!

I am open to creating new itineraries for popular routes. If you have a suggestion for future itinerary combinations please submit it on this form.

The worst thing you can do when planning a trip to The worst thing you can do when planning a trip to Iceland?Only think about stops and completely neglect the ✨ FLOW ✨Stacking of must-see spots one on top of the other might look good on paper…But if the route doesn’t make sense, the day won’t feel good.Instead of ONLY trying to squeeze in as many spots as possible, try asking yourself:Does everything I have planned for the day actually work together?Because once you’re on the road, that’s what becomes apparent. You notice the backtracking, the longer-than-expected drives. You realize you don’t have as much time at each stop as you thought you would. And that’s usually when it hits that the route wasn’t planned as well as it could’ve been.Because putting together a day that actually works here is harder than it looks. It comes down to knowing what actually fits into a day here, what doesn’t, and how these routes feel in real life...not just on Google Maps. After 10+ years of driving these roads and countless trips around the country, I know exactly what goes into creating an itinerary that flows. If you want to skip the trial and error and just get a plan from an expert that works, I've got you covered. 💁‍♀️My Iceland itineraries are laid out day-by-day with realistic driving times, and stops that fit naturally together - so you're never left backtracking or rushing through your bucket-list.Want to see why travelers love them?Just comment "ICELANDPLAN" and I'll send you all the details!#guidetoiceland #discovericeland #islandia #icelandtravel
Curious about what people from Iceland are really Curious about what people from Iceland are really like? While I’m not the authority on Icelanders, after living here for over a decade, I’ve learned a thing or two about the people who call this place home. From dislike of formal titles to their adoration of sweets, here are a few quirks about Icelanders you might come across on your trip… yes, including babies napping outside 😅 (please don’t panic if you see a stroller outside in winter!)Did any of these facts about Icelanders surprise you? Let me know in the comments! 👇🏼#guidetoiceland #discovericeland #islandia #icelandtravel
You might not like the answer to this question... You might not like the answer to this question...But there is no single “best” time to visit. It all comes down to the kind of trip you want to take.Do you want to see the Northern Lights?
Drive with easier conditions?
Explore ice caves?
Finally see puffins in person? All of that depends on the season. And the one you choose completely changes how your trip should be planned. What works in July won’t work in November...and trying to plan the same trip year-round is where a lot of people run into issues. That’s exactly why my Iceland itineraries are split into summer and winter versions, so you’re not stuck adjusting your plan on the fly because it doesn’t match the season. If you want a trip that’s perfectly planned for when you’re traveling...Comment “ICELANDPLAN” and I’ll send you the details 👇🏼#guidetoiceland #discovericeland #islandia #icelandtravel
If you’re visiting Iceland in June, you’ve got a L If you’re visiting Iceland in June, you’ve got a LOT to look forward to… consider this your cheat sheet 👇☀️ First things first, the daylight is no joke. You’re getting nearly 24 hours of it, which means you can be out exploring late into the evening and it still feels like the middle of the day. Don’t forget your sleep mask!🪻This is also when Iceland starts to bloom! The landscapes turn lush and green, fields turn purple with lupines, and waterfalls are flowing at full force.☁️ Now, the weather. It likes to keep you on your toes! Expect temps around 37–62°F (3–16°C), but it can change quickly - so layers are key, and a waterproof jacket is a must.🚙 If you’re planning to drive, this is a GREAT time for it. Roads are generally clear, and if you’re sticking to the Ring Road or Golden Circle, a 2WD is usually enough. If you’re heading into the Highlands, that’s where a 4WD comes in.🎉 For events & festivals, you’ve got the Reykjavík Arts Festival, Independence Day on June 17th, and even Fishermen’s Day early in the month - there’s tons to see and do!
Overall, there’s just so much to love about this month! Are you headed this way in June? Let me know in the comments and save this for your upcoming trip!#guidetoiceland #discovericeland #islandia #icelandtravel
If you’ve gone down the Iceland planning rabbit ho If you’ve gone down the Iceland planning rabbit hole… you know the struggle 😅There’s SO MUCH information out there. And some it completely contradicts itself. Some say you HAVE to drive the Ring Road.Others say the best way is to base yourself in Reykjavík and take trips from there. Some say 5 days is enough, and others say two weeks won’t cut it. It’s enough to send anyone spiraling. So in this YouTube video, I want to give you the exact system I’ve used for 10 years to plan trips to Iceland. Ones that feel perfectly-paced, totally doable and never rushed.Because honestly, there’s SO much more that goes into planning a successful Iceland trip than simply pinning a bunch of pins on a map and calling it a day.Ready to learn exactly how I plan bucket list trips?Comment “YTPLAN” and I’ll send you the link for the full video breakdown! #guidetoiceland #discovericeland #islandia #icelandtravel
