Kirkjufell is known as the most photographed mountain in Iceland and is the crown jewel on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. You simply can’t travel in West Iceland without making a stop here. The unique pyramid shape standing alone in the ocean makes this mountain extremely photogenic from all angles. In this particular photo we traveled the day after a major winter storm. The weather cleared up and we had the most fantastic conditions as you can see from the clear sky and bright blue waters.
