Kirkjufell is known as the most photographed mountain in Iceland and is the crown jewel on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. You simply can’t travel in West Iceland without making a stop here. The unique pyramid shape standing alone in the ocean makes this mountain extremely photogenic from all angles. During the summer it’s nearly impossible to get a photo without other people in it. Photographers are lined up to get the perfect shot, and busses are dropping people off along the tour. But we were patient, because I wanted to get the best shot for you!
