I'm talking about TIPPING.

Yep - there's no tipping in Iceland. Nada!

It's not expected in restaurants, bars, cafes, or anywhere else like it is in North America.

The only exception?

If you had a fantastic tour and you'd like to tip your tour guide, you could leave a small cash tip.

But of course - this is appreciated, never expected!

Let me know in the comments 👇 is tipping customary where you live?

They can be found in various locations on the cliffs of Iceland, but my favorite place to see them?

5 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT ICELAND IN THE SPRINGTIME 💐

👉 It’s a time of extended daylight and minimal rainfall, making it a great time to explore the country’s many sights.

👉 The purple lupine is starting to sprout everywhere! The lush green landscapes, half-snow-capped mountains and purple flowers are the prettiest look 😍

👉 Almost all areas of Iceland are accessible in the spring, with the exception of the Highlands (i.e. Landmannalaugar, þórsmörk, and other areas with heavy snowfall). This makes it such an exciting time for travelers who want to explore popular areas outside of Reykjavik and the Golden Circle, like the Ring Road, North Iceland, Snæfellsness, and the Westfjords!

👉 Another pro of visiting Iceland in May is that it’s still considered off-season, meaning that there are fewer tourists around than in the later summer months of June, July, and August. This makes it a great time to visit without having to deal with large crowds!

👉 The weather is mild and you don’t have to worry about unpredictable weather like getting caught in a snow or ice storm! This also means that driving is a breeze.

Have you taken a trip to Iceland in the spring? Or is it on your bucket list? Let me know in the comments!!
