Is seeing puffins on your Icelandic bucket list? 😍

These guys are the CUTEST!

From May until August is the best time to see puffins in Iceland as they arrive during the summer months.

They can be found in various locations on the cliffs of Iceland, but my favorite place to see them?

📍Borgarfjörður Eystri

Want to know the best places to find puffins and all the Iceland things? I have guides and digital maps that will help you plan the best trip ever.

5 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT ICELAND IN THE SPRINGTIME 💐

👉 It’s a time of extended daylight and minimal rainfall, making it a great time to explore the country’s many sights.

👉 The purple lupine is starting to sprout everywhere! The lush green landscapes, half-snow-capped mountains and purple flowers are the prettiest look 😍

👉 Almost all areas of Iceland are accessible in the spring, with the exception of the Highlands (i.e. Landmannalaugar, þórsmörk, and other areas with heavy snowfall). This makes it such an exciting time for travelers who want to explore popular areas outside of Reykjavik and the Golden Circle, like the Ring Road, North Iceland, Snæfellsness, and the Westfjords!

👉 Another pro of visiting Iceland in May is that it’s still considered off-season, meaning that there are fewer tourists around than in the later summer months of June, July, and August. This makes it a great time to visit without having to deal with large crowds!

👉 The weather is mild and you don’t have to worry about unpredictable weather like getting caught in a snow or ice storm! This also means that driving is a breeze.

Have you taken a trip to Iceland in the spring? Or is it on your bucket list? Let me know in the comments!!

Traveling to Iceland in the winter? Remember these Traveling to Iceland in the winter? Remember these 5 things! 👇

👉 Be prepared
Iceland can be unpredictable, especially when it comes to weather and road conditions during the winter!

I know that you might be an adventurous traveler, but trust me when I say – don’t leave things up to chance when it comes to planning your Iceland trip. Start planning well in advance!

👉 Make the most of daylight hours
You want to remember that Iceland has very limited light hours during the winter (like only 4 hours in the darkest months!) So be sure to plan your activities during this window and maximize the time when the sun comes out to play ☀️

👉 Pack a swimsuit!
The best way to fill those darker hours?

Geothermal pools!

There’s nothing for rewarding than soaking in a hot spring after a cold winter day exploring Iceland.

👉 Be safe
Iceland is one of the safest countries you could travel to, but you have to respect mother nature. Because she can be seriously fierce!

This means adhering to all warnings, and always erring on the side of caution. Better to be safe than sorry, and end up stranded somewhere you don’t want to be!

👉 Catch the Northern lights!
If the Northern Lights are on your bucket list, then a winter trip is the perfect time to catch them.

I have an entire guide on how to see the Northern Lights in Iceland, so just DM me “AURORA” if you want more info ✨
